£45 a month, or £450 a year (saving £90). Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial, no card required. The subscription is what lets you download, send and take acceptance online.

It's limited to the first 50 UK trades to claim a place — not the first 50 to pay. £22.50 a month for your first 12 months, instead of £45. Claiming takes four boxes and no card, and your place is held while you try it on a real job. Claim one on the Fifty prices held page. Once the fifty are gone, the standard £45 a month applies.

No. The trial needs no card up front and nothing is charged during it. When it ends, you actively choose whether to subscribe. There's no surprise auto-charge, because we don't hold a card.

Yes. Cancel any time from your account and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Monthly has no tie-in.

They don't vanish. You can still sign in and see your quotes; sending and downloading just pause until you subscribe again. We keep your quotes for 90 days after you cancel so your history's there if you come back; after that they're removed. Quotes your customer has accepted, and invoices that were paid, are kept longer — up to 6 years — as a record of the agreement, whether you cancel or delete. Deleting your account removes your personal details and drafts straight away, keeping only those accepted-quote and paid-invoice records, which are then deleted after 6 years. You can export everything before you go.

Yes. From the client type, TradeDraft works out standard, reduced or zero-rated VAT, CIS deductions and the Domestic Reverse Charge automatically, ready for you to check before you send. New to these? See the free VAT & CIS guide.

No problem: plenty of sole traders aren't. Answer “No” when TradeDraft asks whether you're VAT-registered, and it treats your work as outside VAT altogether: no VAT line, no VAT to add, nothing for your customer to pay. That's different from a 0% rate, which is a VAT rate that applies to certain work (new builds, for example) — so don't set the rate to zero to stand in for not being registered. If you register later, change the answer once in Settings and every new quote handles it from there.

No. It's a tool to help you build correct, professional quotes, not tax, accounting or legal advice. You stay responsible for the figures you send, so always sense-check them and confirm your VAT position with HMRC or your accountant.

Yes, it's built phone-first. You can put a costed, branded quote together on your phone while you're still at the job, then download a PDF or send it by WhatsApp or email.

You can even install it to your home screen so it opens full-screen like an app. And it keeps working with no signal, so you can build a quote on site even where there's nothing to connect to.

Yes. Create a secure link your client opens on their phone (no app, no login) to read the quote and accept it with a tap. You'll see when they've viewed and accepted it, and your costs and margin are never shown to them.

Yes, for domestic jobs. When you set deposit-and-stages or payment-in-full terms, your client can pay that amount by card when they accept, and it goes straight to your own Stripe account. TradeDraft never holds your money. Stripe takes its usual processing fee out of the payment, and both card and bank options are offered so your client picks one. That fee is Stripe’s, not ours: we add nothing on top, and we never take a cut of your job.

Yes. Add your logo, business name, address and VAT details once in Settings and they appear on every quote. Your defaults (trade, markup, terms) are saved too, so each new quote is faster than the last.

The PDF your customer gets carries your name, logo and details, not ours. The only places TradeDraft appears are a small "Prepared with TradeDraft" line on the online acceptance page and, if you send one, the online invoice page.

No — a clear document makes you look like the one who’s got it handled, not the one making a meal of it. Your customer isn’t counting pages; they’re deciding who to trust with their money, and a proper quote — the scope, the price, what’s included — reads as “this person knows what they’re doing.” And the document is only ever as long as the job needs: a small job gets a short quote, because the detail follows the work, not a template.

There's no name at the top of this site, and that asks for a bit of trust. So here's the deal: don't take anyone on trust — check the work. Every price TradeDraft produces shows its full working, the VAT, the CIS and the margin line by line, so you can see exactly how a number was reached before you pay a penny. A person you'd have to believe; the working you can inspect. See a real quote, worked out in full. And a real person reads every email to hello@tradedraft.co.uk; there's no ticket queue.

Yes. Once your quote is accepted you can raise an invoice straight from it — the figures and client details carry over, and your customer can pay online or by bank transfer. It isn't full accounting software, though: it won't file your tax or sync to Xero or QuickBooks yet, so keep your books wherever you do now.
