A few quick things so your quotes look the part and you get paid.

The rates behind your quotes. These are your costs per unit — your markup and overhead go on top when you build a quote, so keeping them right keeps every quote right.
A period’s invoices as a CSV. The plain-English file states every figure separately — net, VAT, the VAT treatment, any CIS deducted and what is actually payable — so nothing has to be inferred. The other two are shaped for the software to read.
The names your accounting software uses for each VAT treatment. Copy them exactly — open its tax rates and check. Remembered on this device.
Only the treatments your invoices actually use are needed. If one is missing, no file is written and this will say which.
Invoices are included by their issue date. Cancelled and unissued invoices are left out — they are not income, and the download tells you how many were skipped. It is an extract for your records, not a tax return — TradeDraft does not file anything.
The import files carry your invoices as billed, with amounts excluding VAT — tell the importer that when it asks. Deposits already paid, refunds and CIS deductions are not in them: a deposit and a refund are payments, which each package imports separately, and neither has a column for CIS. Those figures are all in the plain-English file.
